He will also become the future chairman of FMG’s management board when Kerkloh steps down at the end of 2019 after more than seventeen years with the airport.
Minister of State and chairman of the Supervisory Board of FMG, Albert Füracker, is confident that Lammers will make for an “excellent” addition to the team.
He says: “Lammers is responsible for some impressive develops in Budapest, we have thus decided on a candidate who, thanks to his experience, competencies and personality as well as his age, brings with him the best prerequisites for successfully leading Bavaria’s gateway to the world.”
Jost Lammers and Thomas Weyer (managing director finance and infrastructure) and Andrea Gebbeken (managing director commercial and security) will form the new management team at Munich Airport.
Before becoming CEO at Budapest Airport, the graduate economist and aviation expert served as chairman of the management board of Flughafen Düsseldorf Ground Handling GmbH and at Hochtief AirPort GmbH as asset manager for Dusseldorf Airport and project manager for Athens Airport.
