iGA Istanbul Airport and Jetex have unveiled what is believed to be the world’s largest VIP terminal at the Turkish gateway.
The Jetex iGA Terminal is designed to welcome international commercial airline passengers and private jet travellers, merging the global expertise of Jetex with iGA’s operational strength.

According to the airport, the terminal’s architecture draws inspiration from Istanbul’s iconic nazende çiçeği (slender flower), featuring natural stone, wood and custom-crafted surfaces that create a distinctive and comfortable travel environment.
And it says that it is far more than a transit point as it offers a private members’ club atmosphere “with seamless, personalised service covering every step of the journey – before, after or between the flights”.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, chair of the board of iGA, Cemal Kalyoncu, underscored the airport’s role as a global gateway.

“One of the greatest projects in the history of the Turkish Republic, iGA Istanbul Airport has risen to become the hub of global aviation — serving over 140 countries and 340+ destinations following a record-breaking construction period of just 42 months,” he said.
“Designed not merely as an airport but as a legacy for future generations, this landmark project contributes significantly to our nation’s economy, tourism, and international trade, while standing as the most tangible proof that Turkey is an island of stability and a safe harbour in an uncertain world.
“With passenger capacity expanding to 120 million, a fourth runway set to open in the second half of the year, ongoing hotel investments, and the inauguration of the JETEX-iGA General Aviation Terminal today, iGA Istanbul Airport is firmly committed to becoming the world’s premier destination in private aviation as well.”
