Miami International Airport today celebrated the grand opening of the first Wait n’ Rest sleep rooms in North America and only the second location worldwide.
The 15 Wait n’ Rest luxury sleep rooms inside MIA’s Concourse D can occupy one to four guests and include luxury hotel-level bedding and linen, in-room touchscreen entertainment and access to private showers and bathrooms.

A second location, in Concourse H at Miami International Airport, is scheduled to open this summer.
Miami-Dade County mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, said “The Wait n’ Rest concept allows passengers to step away from the airport crowds and activity, rest peacefully and comfortably just minutes from their gate, and experience a new level of comfort while navigating long journeys, layovers, or demanding schedules.
“Each suite is designed to deliver a premium rest experience, combining quiet luxury aesthetics, thoughtful design, and technology-driven convenience.

“The space is equally suited for travellers seeking recovery and sleep, as well as professionals needing a private environment for meetings or focused work between flights.”
According to MIA, every aspect of the experience is powered by technology. From in-room touchscreens, guests can control their environment and order food and beverage products directly to their suite, creating a seamless self-guided stay tailored to modern travel habits.
