New first for Hong Kong International Airport’s SkyPier Terminal

Hong Kong International Airport’s new SkyPier Terminal today welcomed the first group of transfer passengers who travelled by bonded bus from Macau to the airport’s restricted area directly via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge.

The “seamless transfer service” is also available for air-to-bridge transfer passengers from oversea destinations, who travel by bonded bus from the airport to Macau via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge.

HKG operator, Airport Authority Hong Kong, notes that with the intermodal transfer service at the SkyPier Terminal, passengers do not need to go through customs, immigration and quarantine procedures or collect their baggage at the airport.

Today’s event marks the next phase of new intermodal transfer service between HKIA and Zhuhai in Mainland China.
