New domestic lounge opens at Lima Airport

Share

Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport has unveiled a new domestic departure lounge.

The new addition joins The Club, the international VIP lounge at the Peruvian gateway, which is also operated by Airport Dimensions.

It is expected to prove popular with domestic passengers as domestic services currently account for approximately 60% of total passenger traffic at Jorge Chávez International Airport.

Indeed, during the first half of 2026, the airport welcomed 7.38 million domestic passengers, highlighting the strength and continued growth of Peru’s domestic travel market.

According to Airport Dimensions, the new lounge is designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers and boasts dedicated spaces to work and family-friendly amenities as well as areas to relax and recharge.

Drawing inspiration from the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, the lounge is said to incorporate vibrant colours, rich textures, and organic patterns to create a distinctive sense of place

Norbert Onkelbach, chief commercial officer for LIM operator Lima Airport Partners (LAP), stated: “At LAP, we are committed to providing passengers with the best possible travel experience, enhancing connectivity, and positioning Peru as a leading hub for aviation, logistics, and commercial services in the region.

“Our partnership with Airport Dimensions plays a key role in delivering a more comprehensive and differentiated passenger experience. The addition of the new lounge for domestic departures responds directly to a service that our passengers have been asking for.

“It also strengthens the airport’s premium offering, supports local employment, and contributes to the growth of the airport ecosystem and the broader economy”.

The airport currently connects Peru to 62 destinations (43 international and 19 domestic) through the operations of 22 airlines. By the end of 2026, the airport is projected to handle 26.5 million passengers.

Located in the domestic departures area of the new terminal, The Club is accessible to Priority Pass and LoungeKey members, regardless of airline or ticket class.
