Munich Airport opens Christmas and winter market

After a two-year break, Munich Airport’s Christmas and winter market is back, and judging by Saturday’s pictures, it looks better than ever!
This year’s market at the München Airport Center (MAC) Forum – Europe’s largest roofed open space – features over 40 shops and stalls offering Christmas treats, handicrafts and gifts and, as usual, the chance to go ice-skating and curling on the airport’s very own ice-rink.
Three members of Munich Airport’s Executive Board, Jan-Henrik Andersson, Nathalie Leroy and Jost Lammers, opened the Christmas and winter market with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Saturday.
In addition to handicrafts, clothing, jewellery and toys, visitors will also find plenty of seasonal food and drink on offer, ranging from culinary delights such as hot chestnuts, steamed dumplings or tarte flambée to a cup of hot mulled wine.
Live music from rock and pop to soul, funk and gospel only adds to the atmosphere.
Surrounded by festively decorated Xmas trees, the market will open its doors daily at 11am to Monday, December 26, 2022.
