Plaza Premium Group launches new lounge concepts
Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has launched two new lounge concepts at Helsinki Airport (HEL) – Aurora and Lumi – which it confidently states offers travellers greater choice, enhanced comfort and a more tailored airport experience.
Both new concepts are located within its transformed and expanded Plaza Premium Lounge located in the non-Schengen area near Gate 40.

PPG believes that the new dual-concept space offers travellers an authentic Nordic atmosphere before departure.
Indeed, the names directly celebrate the country’s iconic landscapes as Lumi is the Finnish word for snow, while Aurora draws inspiration from the vibrant Northern Lights.
It notes that the connection to Finland’s natural heritage is woven throughout the interiors, brought to life through curated local artwork and thoughtful, nature-inspired design.
Aurora is said to provide an elevated transformation of the existing lounge offering a more refined, premium experience, while Lumi is a brand-new lounge designed to be family-friendly and a haven of comfort.

This launch builds on PPG’s recent momentum at Helsinki Airport, following the late-May opening of its premier dining concept, Bites & Plates.
“We are excited to further expand our presence in Finland with the introduction of these two new lounge concepts at Helsinki Airport, Northern Europe’s premier transit hub connecting Europe and Asia,” stated Mario Binelli Mantelli, PPG’s vice president for operations in northern Europe & UK.
