Veovo has been selected to deliver a next-generation passenger flow management solution powered at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
The project will involve the use of advanced LiDAR technology and Veovo’s passenger predictability solution and is designed to give Toronto Pearson highly accurate, real-time visibility of passenger movements through key security and border control processing areas.
According to Veovo, by combining LiDAR sensors with advanced analytics, the airport will gain detailed insight into wait times, queue lengths, passenger throughput, processing performance and service levels.

The insight, it notes will help its operational teams make faster, more informed decisions and deliver a smoother passenger experience.
“As passenger volumes continue to grow, having a clear, real-time understanding of how people move through the airport is essential,” states Greater Toronto Airports Authority’s chief technology officer, Brian Tossan.
“Veovo’s sensor-agnostic passenger intelligence platform provides real-time and predictive insights that help us better understand and manage passenger flow.
“As we advance Pearson LIFT, our long-term plan to modernise and grow Canada’s largest airport, this technology represents a critical next layer in our technology stack, helping us build a smarter, more connected airport that enhances passenger experience, improves operational efficiency and supports future growth through a more integrated, data-driven airport ecosystem.”
