Munich Airport has a popular new attraction, an impressively stocked LEGO Store in Terminal 2, behind security control in the Schengen Area.

Spanning approximately 140 square metres of retail space, the colourful LEGO world invites travellers of all ages to explore, marvel and shop, whether on the way to a family vacation or between business meetings.

“We are very excited about expanding our premium shopping range at Munich Airport,” enthused the airport’s vice president for commercial activities, Maria Dahlhaus.

“With the new LEGO Store, we are enhancing our high-quality portfolio by adding another attractive highlight for our passengers from all over the world.”

With a focus on LEGO Formula 1, motorsport enthusiasts and LEGO fans alike are invited to make a pit stop in Terminal 2.

The airport notes that the new location is much more than a traditional store as it offers an interactive experience that encourages travellers of all generations to discover, enjoy and get involved.

The product range includes around 340 different items – from practical souvenirs to iconic collector’s items. Popular product lines are also available, alongside rarities that can only be found in official stores.

According to the airport, “a detailed mural of Munich and impressively designed models provide additional opportunities for awe and photography.”

Annette Rosendahl, head of travel retail development at LEGO Group, noted: “Our mission is to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow and this store offers an immersive brand experience that allows travelers to engage with our brand.”
