Hyatt House DFW is a step closer to reality following a groundbreaking ceremony for the new extended stay hotel at the Southgate entrance of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport campus.

The hotel, which is being developed by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Woodbine Development Corporation, Muckleroy & Falls and Merriman Anderson Architects, is expected to open in Summer 2027.

“Hyatt House DFW will mark the first extended-stay property on DFW’s airport campus and join nearby Hyatt hotels including Grand Hyatt DFW, Hyatt Place DFW and Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport,” noted Jim Tierney, Hyatt’s head of development, classics and essentials portfolio for US East.

“We look forward to offering residential-style accommodations for both short- and long-term stays, whether traveling for business or leisure.”

According to Hyatt, the new project will introduce the brand’s spacious and updated guest room design – including residential-inspired amenities for guests to enjoy the comforts of home – to the Dallas Fort Worth market.

The hotel will feature130 residential-style suites – accommodation that offer optimal flexibility for both extended-stay and transient guests.

DFW Airport is the hotel’s owner, Woodbine is the developer, Muckleroy & Falls is the contractor, Merriman is the architect, and Hyatt will be the operator.

“As DFW Airport anticipates serving more than 100 million passengers annually by the end of the decade, we are committed to providing travellers with a variety of options and services that cater to the growing needs of the North Texas region,” said Mohamed Charkas, DFW’s chief development and infrastructure officer.

“Hyatt House DFW will expand the suite of hotel services available on airport property and provide additional options for customers.”
