Boryspil International Airport in the Ukraine has opened a new duty free shop in its revamped Terminal F in conjunction with travel retailer Gebr Heinemann and its local partner, BF Group.
Heinemann has signed a five year contract to run the new 191 square metre shop, which is located just behind passport control in Terminal F.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Kiev and our partnership with the airport in the special year of our ten-year anniversary of successful collaboration,” enthuses Gebr Heinemann’s sales director for eastern Europe and central Asia, Oleg Zhytomyrsky.
“We are also very excited to open the first duty free shop in Terminal F and give its passengers the longed-for access to a high quality duty free assortment and attractive prices on their journey.”
The opening means that 18 Heinemann now operates 18 shops at Kiev’s gateway to the world.
“Terminal F principly serves low cost carriers and charter flights, but we want our passengers to enjoy a first class shopping experience,” notes Simon Forde, general manager of the BF Group/Gebr Heinemann joint venture.
“Whether our customers want premium spirits, prestige perfume brands or tasty confectionary, we have a wide choice for them. We also have a section of branded sunglasses, which are very popular with the fashionable Ukrianian traveller.
“We are very happy to have received great feedback from our customers.”
