Eight new restaurants to open at Helsinki Airport

Finavia will further diversify Helsinki Airport’s restaurant offering with the opening of eight new F&B oulets in the spring.
The new additions, which are part of the revamp of the airport, means that passengers will soon be served by nearly 50 restaurants and cafés.
Nora Immonen, Finavia’s director of commercial services, business, at Helsinki Airport, enthused: “Helsinki Airport’s restaurant offering has almost doubled since 2019.
“We are developing our food and beverage selection according to trends and passengers’ wishes, and the range of hot food, for example, has become significantly more diverse.
“Dining is a significant part of the travel experience for an increasing number of passengers.”
Over the past few months, the artisan pizzeria Italian Kitchen Terracotta, Bubbles Seafood & Wine with a fine selection of champagne and wine and a new café by the café chain Espresso House have opened at Helsinki Airport.
In addition, the Burger King restaurant at gate 37 has been renovated.
Later in the spring, the following restaurants and cafés will also open at Helsinki Airport: Naughty Burger, a burger restaurant developed by a Finnish Top Chef winner; Street Food Club, a restaurant that serves delicious street food; the fourth Espresso House café at the airport; and two new Nordic Kitchen Deli, Bar & Bistro restaurants.
Finavia will open the restaurant and café concepts in cooperation with the leading restaurant service provider Avolta.
The restaurants and cafés will create about 70 new jobs at the airport. About 2,500 square metres of new commercial space will be completed. There is a total of about 30,000 square metres of commercial space to rent at the airport.
The restaurants are located in the departure gate area of Helsinki Airport. In 2023, 15.3 million passengers travelled via Helsinki Airport, almost 90% of whom travelled on an international flight.

“Our offering includes a suitable option for every situation, whether you are looking to dine in a restaurant or find a takeaway snack to take with you on your flight.”
