Changi Airport Group (CAG) today named Scoot as Partner of the Year at the annual Changi Airline Awards (CAA) 2026, recognising the airline’s contributions to strengthening Changi’s connectivity and stimulating travel demand.
Singapore’s Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, Jeffrey Siow, was in attendance at the event along with representatives from 90 airlines and aviation partners.
CAG notes that the sister airline of Singapore Airlines has broadened Changi Airport’s network, enabled more seamless travel options for passengers and supported efforts to grow demand across Changi’s key markets.

During the year, Scoot increased its flight services to 13 new destinations across Southeast Asia, North Asia and Europe, of which 10 are new to Changi Airport.
In addition, Scoot also forged new interline partnerships with six airlines at Changi, offering passengers more seamless travel options to destinations worldwide.
Beyond expanding connectivity, Scoot collaborated closely with CAG to boost travel demand through joint marketing activations across various digital platforms and via in-market roadshows.
CAG CEO, Yam Kum Weng, noted that in an increasingly uncertain and evolving aviation landscape, trust and reliability remain fundamental to Changi as a global air hub.

“For both airlines and passengers, the consistent delivery of a high-quality experience on every journey remains paramount,” said Yam.
“To uphold this commitment, we will embark on a series of major upgrades to unlock capacity, to support airlines’ growth and strengthen the resilience of Changi Airport.”
To increase handling capacity and support future growth, CAG will undertake a series of large-scale infrastructure enhancements, including upgrades to Terminal 3’s Baggage Handling System, additional bus gates, an expanded Skytrain fleet, and a new inter-terminal baggage conveyance system between Terminals 1 and 3.
CAG will also invest in airside infrastructure to support the new B777-9 aircraft, with over 50 aircraft stands that can accommodate this aircraft type by this quarter.
“These investments reinforce the strong foundations we have worked hard together to build, ensuring that Changi remains your strategic partner of choice,” added Yam.
