Taste of Mexico comes to Washington Reagan National Airport

Mexican restaurant, Mi Vida Cantina and Taqueria, has opened in Concourse B at Washington Reagan National Airport.

The highly anticipated establishment is locally praised for its genuine Mexican flavours and lively atmosphere.

Jaimini Erskine, vice president for marketing and concessions at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), enthused: “Mi Vida brings a true sense of place to Reagan National, giving travellers an opportunity to experience a beloved Washington-area Knead Hospitality brand right here at the airport.

“Partnerships such as these allow us to connect travellers with authentic local flavours while supporting businesses that contribute to the vibrancy of our region.”

Close to Gate B16, the attractive new open-air restaurant and bar is said to serve modern interpretations of traditional Mexican dishes for breakfast and throughout the day until late hours, along with signature cocktails and convenient take-out.

Dominic Troilo, vice president of Fraport Washington Partnership LLC, the company which manages the concessions programme, stated: “We have worked with MWAA, Jackmont Hospitality, and KNEAD Hospitality + Design to bring Chef Santibañez’s well-known Mexican restaurant to Reagan National.

“The outcome is a modern dining option which provides vibrant flavours and extra convenience for travelers who want a taste of sunny Mexico while on the move.”

In 2025, nearly 25 million passengers travelled through Reagan National. Eight airlines served the airport, providing over 400 daily departures to 108 destinations.
