Travel Retail Norway wins new tender for four Avinor airports

Travel Retail Norway (TRN) will continue to operate the duty-free and single price shops at Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim airports after winning the new tender.

The new contract for TRN, the joint venture between Gebr. Heinemann and Norse-Trade, covers the period from 2028 to 2036.

The concept for the Tax Free Norway brand and the operation of the retail spaces at Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim airports was developed in close teamwork between TRN and Heinemann.

The brand-new departure shop at Oslo Airport will cover 3,300sqm. The 4,000sqm arrivals shop will continue as a flagship and Norway’s single largest shop.

Florian Seidel, chief sales officer at Gebr. Heinemann, says: “This tender win is a major success and the result of a close and trusted partnership spanning more than 20 years.

“The strong team effort resulted in a bid that will add value for the airport as well as for travellers to and from Norway.

“It is once again a testimony to the strength of partnerships that combine local and global expertise. Together with our partners we are looking forward to writing the next chapter in Norway.”
