Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport’s passengers are in even safer hands following yesterday’s opening of a new on-site clinic.
The FirstCall Medical Center offers a full range of services – emergency care, first aid, COVID-19 vaccines and PCR and rapid antigen tests, travel vaccines, and more at its new location in the main terminal, near Concourse C.
“We welcome FirstCall Medical Center’s dedicated providers to our programme at BWI Marshall,” enthused Gary Gilliard, vice president of Fraport Maryland.
“Thanks to Dr Ron Elfenbein and his staff, passengers, employees, and visitors can receive quality medical care and testing services right in the airport.
“With this addition, we are working full stop to meet the needs of domestic and international travellers and the airport community.”
BWI Marshall’s executive director, Ricky Smith, said: “Our highest priority remains the health and safety of our customers and employees. We are excited that FirstCall Medical Center will offer convenient, accessible health care and on-site testing for the traveling public and the airport community.”
According to the airport, patients can make appointments and complete paperwork in advance for ease in self-check-in and treatment by scanning a QR code or visiting https://qrco.de/bcE2K4.
Walk-ins are also welcome. FirstCall Medical Center accepts most major insurance plans and offers self-pay options for all services.
“As Medical Director of FirstCall Medical Center, I am pleased to bring a full-service urgent care centre to BWI Marshall Airport,” noted Elfenbein.
“We have multiple sites in Anne Arundel, Howard, and Prince George’s Counties and are very excited to be joining the BWI family. We are committed to providing high-quality medical care and serving the airport community.”
