With 24 weekly flights from China to Munich, travel between the two metropolises of Shanghai and Beijing and the Bavarian capital is back in full swing.
As a result, Munich Airport has reintroduced its personal shopping assistant service for Chinese passengers in Terminal 2.
Chinese-speaking shopping assistants aim to break down language barriers and make it easier for Chinese guests to enjoy their stay. The free of charge service was previously available from 2015 to 2020 but was suspended temporarily because of the pandemic.
The assistants can also help Chinese guests with additional questions about security checks, customs clearance and VAT refunds. The service is provided by Terminal 2 Gesellschaft, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Munich Airport, which is continuously developing the passenger experience.
Shopping assistants can be contacted on the spur of the moment at the airport or booked in advance by calling the mobile number +49 172 21 14 772 during service hours.
Ivonne Kuger, managing director of Terminal 2 Gesellschaft, noted: “We are delighted to be able to welcome more passengers from China again and to offer them this exclusive service in our terminal.”
