MUNICH AIRPORT OPENS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AND WINTER MARKET

The holiday season is officially upon us as Munich Airport’s annual Christmas and Winter Market has opened for business!

From now until December 29, Europe’s largest covered outdoor space – the Munich Airport Center Forum – will host the airport’s annual Christmas and Winter Market, which will be open daily from 11am until 9pm.

This year more than 40 stands are offering handicrafts, jewellery, toys and traditional German treats as Dampfnudeln and Flammkuchen.

Passengers and airport visitors will find an oasis of calm amid the hustle and bustle of the airport, where they can warm up over a glass of mulled wine and enjoy a cozy Christmas shopping experience.

And its not all about shopping as for many, the highlight of the Christmas and Winter Market is its the 625sqm ice rink, which provides visitors with the chance to show off their skating skills and recreate their very own version of dancing on ice every Thursday from 6pm when a DJ is on hand to play the latest hits.

Other attractions include a series of live musical events and a visit from St Nicholas himself in the build up to Xmas.
