Share

Liege Airport in Belgium recorded its seventh consecutive month of cargo growth in July in terms of aircraft movements and freight volumes.

It handled a total of 2,259 cargo flights and 81,474 tons of cargo in July, healthy upturns of 18% and 17% on the same month a year ago.

Based on ACI figures for 2024, the latest figures cement LGG’s status among the top-performing airports in Europe in the first half of the year.

According to the airport, the growth across its facilities exceeds the global trend for freight transport, as reported n the latest analysis published by Xeneta.

The airport notes that the results are in line with its airport master plan ‘Vision 2040’, which is designed to ensure Liege Airport further develops its position as one of Europe’s biggest freighter hubs.
