Big comeback for Norwegian at Stockholm Arlanda

Share

Norwegian is set to re-open its cabin crew base at Arlanda with the new employees becoming its first crew based in Sweden since the pandemic started in 2020.

According to Swedish airport operator, Swedavia, the airline is planning to operate a network of 54 non-stop routes to Europe from Stockholm Arlanda this summer.

And, as a preparation, the Norwegian carrier has now started the recruitment of around 270 cabin crew, which will be stationed at Arlanda from April when they will re-open their base.

The airline currently offers 15 destinations from Stockholm Arlanda, including three domestic destinations: Umeå, Luleå and Kiruna.

Norwegian will become the fourth carrier to open a base at Stockholm Arlanda in a short period of time, following Ryanair, Finnair and Eurowings.

Both Ryanair and Finnair stationed aircraft and opened new bases at Arlanda last autumn while Eurowings has announced plans to establish a base at Sweden’s capital city gateway by the end of March.
