Fazer Café will open an outlet at Helsinki Airport early next year that the Finnish gateway states will bring “a significant addition to its café offerings”.
The airport believes that the modern and classic new addition will provide a welcome new meeting place and high-quality café experience for passengers.
It will be located near the airport’s play area for kids close to departure gates (19-20) and next to large windows overlooking the runway.
“Fazer Café has been at the top of passengers’ wish list at Helsinki Airport for a long time, and we are pleased that this wish will finally be fulfilled,” said Finavia’s vice president for commercial business, Nora Immonen.
While head of Frazer Retail, Miika Kostilainen, enthused: “This is exactly where Fazer Café should be. Our concept is based on craftsmanship, Finnish ingredients and an understanding of our customers’ needs.
“We believe that there is room at the airport for an iconic Finnish café that combines quality, friendly service and an enjoyable overall experience.”
SSP Finland, an experienced restaurant and café partner at Helsinki Airport, was selected as Fazer’s partner.
The long-term development of Helsinki Airport has also received recognition in terms of commercial services.
The airport was chosen as the Commercial Space of the Year in the 2025 NCSC Awards Finland competition, and according to an annual survey commissioned by Finavia and conducted by Taloustutkimus, the airport’s commercial partners’ satisfaction with Finavia was 4.40/5 in 2024.
Fazer Café, it argues, is an excellent example of how the airport is being developed in co-operation with top brands according to passengers’ wishes.
