TIA, the operator of Albania’s Mother Teresa–Tirana International Airport, is looking for consultants to help it complete the next phase of the gateway’s infrastructure development programme.

TIA is committed to undertaking a handful of key capital expenditure projects between 2020-2022 in order to ensure that Albania’s gateway to the world is equipped to meet future demand.

The projects include an airfield rehabilitation programme and the design and construction of a terminal expansion.

As a result, TIA  intends to engage a project management consultant with suitable international airport experience to help it oversee the crucial phase of development.

According to its tender documents, the required ‘project manager’ will support TIA with “professional comprehensive and efficient project management services for the described projects.

“Project management services shall be delivered for each of the respective projects from the development phase through permitting, tender, design and construction phases up to start of operations.”

To participate in the process, interested parties are expected to have successfully completed two similar size €15-€20 million projects in the last five years.

Official expressions of interest for participation in the projects have to be submitted by email,
